Saul was just going about business as usual. Nothing special was happening in his life when God showed up in a big way. in this passage we see that Saul was: a) Called (1 Sam 9:14-10:1) b) Challenged (1 Sam 10:2-8) c) Changed (1 Sam 10:9-16) d) Commissioned (1 Sam 10:17-27) If you are a child of God then you to have been called, challenged, changed, and commissioned (or at least are in the process). You are special to God and have been designed by Him and for Him to serve in the Kingdom of God.
