1 Timothy 3:14-16 (HCSB)
The Mystery of Godliness
14 I write these things to you, hoping to come to you soon. 15 But if I should be delayed, I have written so that you will know how people ought to act in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 16 And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory

The church is God’s household (Family). We are His children, and we should act as such. We have a set of rules laid out for us. How will blessings come to the church family if we don’t follow these rules and stand in truth? Every family has a reason why they came to Temple for the first time and why they stayed. I came because I taught REFIT and Pastor H.D. and Lea kept inviting me. Chapter one was about rejecting false doctrine then embracing true doctrine. I believe we hear the true doctrine here at Temple, I’ve been to other churches who didn’t get it right. Chapter two was about how men, then women, behave when the church gathers for worship. I experience great conversations and witness incredible behavior by the people of Temple, both young and old. Chapter three is about which men can serve as elders, then what men can be deacons. We should have order and focus. The last verse is the most important, the focus is Jesus Christ. John 14:6 - Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
