QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

  1. What would you say is your greatest “need”? How has/is Jesus able to meet that need? If He has met that need, how can telling others about it help them recognize their need before God? If He hasn’t met that “need,” why might He be waiting or choosing to not meet that need? Jesus didn’t heal every needy person –why not?
  2. Why would Jesus stop on the way to a LIFE AND DEATH situation to point out the healing of a woman with a non-life-threatening situation? The woman’s healing was not a distraction from something more important but on purpose. Do you ever feel your  situation isn’t important enough to bother God about it? Does this change your view?
  3. In verses 9:35-38, Matthew emphasized three parts of Jesus’ ministry –teaching, preaching, and healing. Even if you don’t have any of those spiritual gifts, what are some ways you can be a sent out “worker into His harvest”? Jesus did those things because of His compassion –how do you feel about people that may be different than you and aren’t saved?
