1 Timothy 4:6-9 (HCSB)
A Good Servant of Jesus Christ
6 If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed. 7 But have nothing to do with irreverent and silly myths. Rather, train yourself in godliness, 8 for the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 9 This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance. 10 In fact, we labor and strive for this, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, especially of those who believe.

Now it’s time to get to work. We have someone in our life that could benefit from hearing the truth. When flying home from Dallas this lady in line was not very nice to me. At first, I was upset about it, but I took a deep breath and turned around to her and said “Well, you are loved.” Those simple words turned her whole day around and mine too. She started smiling immediately and talking to Lea. They chatted for about 20 minutes in line. I heard laughter and kindness from her. Had I not said anything it would have been an awkward moment. I felt the Holy Spirit tell me to say it to her. I did not come up or execute it on my own. These verses were my very first memory verses when joining the R.E.A.L. women’s group in 2021. Yes, I exercise regularly, and we should all try to, but training myself in godliness is more important because I now can share with others the love and truth that I have experienced since digging into His word.
