Trust and Obey
Study the Word:
Naaman was cured of leprosy in a most unusual manner. Key Truth: God can use anyone to accomplish His will (2 Kings 5:1-8). The Hebrew girl had greater faith than a king and God used her simple message to Naaman, a Syrian general.
Key Truth: God's methods are best, even if they seem strange to us (2 Kings 5:9-14). God wants people to obey, even when it does not seem to make sense. Naaman's healing was not about the Jordan River, but about his obedience to God's commands.
Key Truth: Believers must guard against greed (2 Kings 5:15-27). After Naaman was healed, Elisha refused to accept his gifts. But his servant Gehazi secretly ran after Naaman and asked for silver and garments. His greed was punished by leprosy.
