Galatians 4:4-7 (HCSB)
4 When the time came to completion, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
Andrea Campo
My sister didn’t conceive children naturally, and after a decade of trying they gave up hope. Until, one morning twelve years ago when a colleague approached her with a plea for help. The colleague’s sister was pregnant and considering abortion. Long story short, nine months later Abigail was adopted into our family! Fast forward six years. My sister and her husband became foster parents for the state, hoping to adopt another child. After many other heartbreaking situations, God led Grayson and Paisley to them, and in time they officially became their children. The Father knew they all needed each other, “and when the time came for completion, God sent them.” Their eagerness for children was fueled by love, willingness to open their heart, and asking nothing in return. Their story painted an entirely new picture of adoption and unveiled a deeper understanding of the adoptive relationship the Father freely gives us.
