2 Peter 1:1-4 (HCSB)
1 Simeon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ: To those who have obtained a faith of equal privilege with ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 May grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Growth in the Faith 3 His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 4 By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires.

Everything we need for life; everything has a purpose. Everyone on this planet was born with a purpose. Without a purpose, what’s the point? Myles Monroe writes in his book In Pursuit of Purpose, “without purpose, time has no meaning, energy has no reason, life has no precision”. What’s your gift? What’s your purpose? Speaking, teaching, giving, even if its just smiling, you and all you bring to the table is a part of God's divine purpose. True life begins when we give our lives to Christ. A life lived in godliness. A life set by God's standards, obtained through knowledge and a real relationship with Him achieved through Bible study and prayer. To enjoy the privileges God offers we must grow in our knowledge of Him. In this we find our purpose. To love Him, to love others, and to be a constant light to the world reflecting Him.
