Ephesians 1:1-6 (HCSB)
Greeting
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will:
To the faithful saints in Christ Jesus at Ephesus.
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s Rich Blessings
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. 4 For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love 5 He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, 6 to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.
Joel Robertson
Grace is a subject that I always have trouble grasping. I work in a performance-based industry, where lapses in customer service or dissatisfaction with completed work will result in the client not returning and not recommending my services. If I mess up, there is not much grace. Online reviews can be void of grace as well. The grace we receive from our Creator is beyond measure. It is difficult for us to comprehend, to quantify. Even if we somehow become perfect in our walk and devotion to God, we will never be able to payback one single drop of grace to the One that gave us the healing and restoration of our deepest longing of our souls. Each day that I wake, it is a grace. I try to contemplate on how much grace the Lord has given me in my morning devotions before I step out the door to start my workday. This dwelling on grace helps me accept the graces the Lord has given me and spurs me on to show grace to people in which I come in contact. Meditate on the grace of God today and how you can spread that to others.
