James 1:16-18 (HCSB)
16 Don’t be deceived, my dearly loved brothers. 17 Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning. 18 By His own choice, He gave us a new birth by the message of truth so that we would be the firstfruits of His creatures.
Shannon Jamison
The best gift God gave us is His Son, Jesus and salvation in Him (John 3:16). James tells us God is the Creator, and He will never change. These verses remind us of God’s goodness and that Jesus is the Truth. James encourages us to trust in God and remain humble to avoid being deceived. When we go through a trial, our faith is made stronger. God is constantly giving us good and perfect gifts and we should not be discouraged going through trials. My prayer for you today is that you know the Truth and accept salvation through Jesus Christ so when you are discouraged, you will find strength through your faith.
