Questions for the Week
- What are some of the times in the past that you wanted to audibly hear God answer prayer? Did He answer your prayer with scripture, prayer, circumstances or others? Or...seemingly not at all? Did you struggle with His answer? Did it have an impact on your faith and trust –positively or negatively?
- The environment the people in Numbers experienced is designed for a way of life that is very different than what we live. Some of that is culture, time, and the difference between
the Old and New Testament. Do you follow any of the OT festivals/holy days? Why or why not? How much does Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross nullify that way of living out your faith? - Numbers 9:1-14 deals with the Passover. At Temple, we typically recognize the Passover every year as a church. Thinking back, did you prepare yourself for that time? If you approached that time with prayer, humility, and repentance, what would look different in your life? What would the benefit be?
